Let’s build a Johnson-Su bioreactor with Marty Kraft. See you at my farm for a tour, book discussion, and team build.
Mad Science Monday
If you know me at all, you will not be surprised when I share that I have started a new book club, “Mad Science Monday”. I like to read about soil health, as I believe it’s critical to human health. At Mad Science Monday Book Club, we're digging deeper—literally and intellectually—into what it takes to cultivate vibrant, living soil. The first meeting will be Monday, July 28, 6:00 pm at Table View Farm, 840 Shawnee Road, Pomona. The book I am reading right now is “What Your Food Ate”, by David Montgomery and Anne Bikle. But this isn't just a reading group. Let’s turn knowledge into action through hands-on experimentation designed to bring soil biology to life.

There are no dues or registration, just show up. BYOB. We’ll have a meet and greet, then a walk and talk. As we tour my farm, we will discuss soil health, compost, cover crops, and more. Hope to see you there. Whether you're a farmer, gardener, educator, or just soil-curious, you're invited to read along, get your hands dirty, and grow with us. Follow our journey, join the discussion, and discover how words on a page can transform the ground beneath our feet.
